STI Online LLC (“SoundTree Institute”) posts this Privacy Policy to inform you about our practices regarding the collection, use and disclosure of information that you may provide at (the “Site”) and about your rights relative to that information.  Please be sure to read this entire Privacy Policy before logging onto the Site or otherwise using, submitting or uploading information and material to this Site.  If you are unwilling to accept the terms and conditions of the Privacy Policy, we ask that you do not use the Site. 

The terms “You” and “User” as used herein refer to all individuals and/or entities accessing the Site for any reason. This Privacy Policy is a part of the Terms and Conditions of the Site.  Please be aware that this policy refers solely to your use of the Site as distinct to any other activities sponsored or affiliated with SoundTree Institute.  We have posted these notices to comply with numerous laws and our organization’s internal guidelines.

1.         Policy

SoundTree Institute aspires to build Users’ trust and confidence by promoting fair information practices.  Accordingly, SoundTree Institute provides this Policy to inform Site visitors of what personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) is being gathered and for what purposes SoundTree Institute intends to use such Personal Information.  SoundTree Institute will not knowingly exceed the stated purposes of use without notification.  Users may give their consent to SoundTree Institute or may choose not to participate in the Site.  SoundTree Institute also identifies the safeguards and measures that it employs to secure Personal Information it collects from the Site.

SoundTree Institute agrees to exercise reasonable cautions to maintain the confidentiality of Personal Information provided by You in connection with accessing and using the Site.

Because we gather various types of Personal Information from Site Users, we feel You should know how we collect, use, disclose, manage and store the Personal Information that You may voluntarily provide us and the Personal Information that is collected passively through the use of cookies or image tags on our website.  SoundTree Institute agrees to post prominently and in plain language its specific privacy policies.

2.         Collection and Use of Personal Information

Generally, You may browse the Site without providing any Personal Information.  We do not collect Personal Information about individuals except when specifically and knowingly provided by such individuals.

The Site directly provides or links to certain features through which SoundTree Institute may gather Personal Information from Users.  The specific webpages on which such features are offered may contain additional information relevant to our privacy practices.  Use of these features may require the submission of your full name, telephone number, email address and other Personal Information.  You may be added to other mailing list services, including those of organizations with whom we collaborate.

We use your Personal Information to provide You with the services You request and to respond to questions related to SoundTree Institute or the Site.  SoundTree Institute may also use your Personal Information to notify You of further information that may be of interest to You.

The Site may passively collect certain information using various technologies and means.  We may receive and record Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses in the normal course of operation of the Site.  While we may receive and record IP addresses, we will not use them to identify You personally or disclose them to others.  Navigational data related to User visits to the Site may also be recorded for system management and in order to improve the content of the Site.

3.         Disclosure of Information

We will not sell, rent, or lease your Personal Information to any third party without your consent. However, SoundTree Institute may disclose Personal Information in special cases: (1) when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) the rights of SoundTree Institute or to anyone that could be harmed by such activities; (2) when we believe in good faith that the law requires it; (3) to any affiliate or to any third party who may acquire SoundTree Institute; and (4) in situations involving threats to the physical safety of any person.

4.         Security of Information

Personal Information collected through the Site is secure and is maintained in a manner consistent with current industry standards.  The importance of security for all Personal Information associated with Users of our Site is of utmost concern to us.  Your Personal Information resides on a secure server that only selected SoundTree Institute employees and contractors may access.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  As a result, while we strive to protect your Personal Information, You acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations of the Internet which are beyond our control; (b) the security, integrity and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between You and us through the Site cannot be guaranteed; and (c) any such information and data may be viewed or tampered with in transit by a third party.

5.         "Cookies"

You should be aware that non-Personal Information and data may be automatically collected on the Site through the use of “cookies.”  “Cookies” are small text files stored as text on a computer hard drive.  Websites can use “cookies” to recognize repeat visitors, facilitate the visitor’s ongoing access to and use of a site, and allow a site to track usage behavior and compile aggregate data that will allow content improvements.  “Cookies” are not programs that come onto a visitor’s system and damage files.  The use of “cookies” is common in the Internet industries, and many major websites use them to provide useful features to their customers.  Generally “cookies” work by assigning a unique number to the visitor that has no meaning outside the assigning site.  If a visitor does not want information collected through the use of “cookies,” there is a simple procedure in most browsers that allows the visitor to deny or accept the cookie feature.  SoundTree Institute may use “cookie” technology to obtain non-Personal Information from online visitors in order to improve their online experience and facilitate their visit within the Site.

6.         How You Can Review or Correct Your Personal Information

You may contact SoundTree Institute at to ask if we are keeping Personal Information about You.  If we do have Personal Information about You, we will provide You with a readable copy of such Personal Information at no charge.  Factual errors in your Personal Information, including out-of-date Personal Information, can be corrected by sending us a request that credibly shows our error.

7.         Opt-Out Procedures

You may always opt-out of receiving communications from SoundTree Institute.  To remove any Personal Information from our database or to not receive future email communications from SoundTree Institute, send an email to with the word “Remove” in the subject line.

8.         Links to Third-Party Websites

The SoundTree Institute Site may contain links to the websites of third parties not affiliated with SoundTree Institute.  You understand, acknowledge and agree that any such links are provided solely as a convenience to You and not as an endorsement by the Site or SoundTree Institute of their content, advertising or business practices.  SoundTree Institute is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content on any of these other websites, including any sites that may indicate a special relationship or “partnership” with SoundTree Institute.  SoundTree Institute does not disclose unique identifiers to those responsible for the linked sites.  The linked sites, however, may collect Personal Information from You when You link to their sites.  This collecting of information is not subject to the control of SoundTree Institute.  To ensure protection of your privacy, always review the privacy policies of the sites You visit by linking from the SoundTree Institute Site.  Section 3 of the Terms and Conditions of this Site include additional information on third-party links.

9.         Minors and Children Under the Age of Thirteen and Minors Under the Age of Eighteen

Our site is operated on the principles of commercial responsibility and care for our customers.  However, as with any access to information, communication technologies and commercial transactions, we want to ensure that younger uses are properly protected and supervised.

Minors must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian, and the parent or guardian must agree on their behalf, and on behalf of the minor, to these Terms.  We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to post to the  Site.  If you are under 13, please do not attempt to post or send any information about yourself to us, such as your name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address. If you become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental or guardian consent, please provide notice to us at the following email address: brads@soundtree.comWe will use reasonable efforts to delete the minor’s information from our database.

Also, if you are under the age of 18, please be sure that your parents or guardians are aware of and agree to your access to, use of and activities on the Site.  

10.       Changes to this Privacy Policy

SoundTree Institute may revise this Privacy Policy over time as new features are added to the Site or as Internet law and standards evolve.  We will post these changes prominently but recommend that You read this Privacy Policy each time You visit the Site.  Changes will not apply retroactively to Personal Information that was collected before the changes to the Privacy Policy, except as may be required by law.
